Unicorn Toys is a Canadian importer and wholesaler of fun, unique, and high-quality educational toys and DIY kits!
They predominantly ship their products to their customers. To gain more insight into the establishment and packaging process, we were able to sit down with the general manager, Andy Chou, and ask him a few questions.
The Issue
Since 2004, Unicorn Toys has primarily worked and partnered with retailers of all sizes, from chain stores to independent shops.
Over the years, they’ve steadily grown and recently started selling and shipping their products directly to their customers.
However, during this transition, Andy quickly realized that the generic mailer boxes currently in use would no longer suffice. In order to effectively brand his products to the customers, it was time to invest in custom packaging!

The Solution
When Andy approached us, he already knew he wanted his packaging to reflect his company’s website and brand, but wasn’t sure how to go about it. He hadn’t done much research nor knew a lot about custom packaging.

The Result
The mailer box was a great option for Unicorn Toys as it’s not only sturdy, but it can hold multiple products as well.
It features one colour print and matte lamination with contact information printed on the side. Moreover, It’s eco-friendly and biodegradable!
Similarly, the waterproof mailer bag also features one colour print and matte lamination, but comes with an additional layer of bubble wrap which helps protect the products in transit.
Both the products are very economical and versatile which helps the company mix and match their packaging for different products.
Overall, the bold, vibrant colours do a great job of making the brand stand out, encourage greater brand awareness and uniformity across all of Unicorn Toys’ social media platforms!
