The season for food festivals has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean you can’t look ahead! With the plastic ban approaching, many of the plastic takeout options will no longer be usable. What options do you have instead?
In this week’s post, we’re introducing you to paper packaging made for food festivals. Read on to learn more!
Paper Cups
If your festival booth is selling drinks, using paper cups can be a great alternative to their plastic counterparts. These can range from the classic cup structure to something more unique like the butterfly cup! You can print your brand’s logo or design directly on the cup or use a paper sleeve to bring your brand to life.

Takeout Boxes
Paper takeout boxes come in a wide variety of styles and closures. These can be customized to fit your unique product while keeping it hot and fresh! Each of these styles can be made in our white or brown Kraft bases, and can be printed with your unique designs!
Below are some of the different takeout box styles we offer that we think would be great for food festivals:
Classic Takeout Box
Sometimes you can’t beat the classics! Our classic takeout boxes include a lock mechanism. They can come coated or uncoated depending on the level of protection you need! This will be helpful for customers to take with them throughout the rest of the festival and take home any leftovers!

Lunch Box
Lunch boxes feature small cutout vents to make sure that your hot lunch can breathe. These have a hinge lid closure and can also come with a coating if you need

Lotus Box
The history of the lotus box is rooted deeply in Chinese-American takeout. These boxes feature a similar top closure to the lunch boxes, but are taller and have a tapered bottom. Additionally, lotus boxes often include a handle made of wire or plastic! Especially for patrons walking around a festival, this style is convenient for taking around from booth to booth.

Burger Box
Another classic takeout style, the burger box is identifiable by its hinge lid closure and tab locks on the front.

Soup Bowls
Usable either with or without their lids, these soup bowls are a great choice for a wide variety of options. From noodles to ice cream, you can put many different cuisines in soup bowls similar to these.

Wooden Utensils
In the list of six single use plastic items that are included in the single use plastic ban, plastic cutlery is at the top of the list. Wooden utensils, while still disposable, consist of natural materials rather than plastic making them easier to break down.

Drink Carriers
These carriers are customizable to hold up to four drinks! Especially if you’re running a deal at your food festival booth, these can be helpful for your customers to carry their drinks around.

Snack Trays
A popular choice we notice at many food festivals is the snack tray! Stereotypically seen holding fries or a hotdog, these are perfect to show off what your booth has cooking.
