2024 is coming to a close, and with that, it’s time for our annual end of year recap. Take a look back with LeKAC at all of the major milestones we had this year as we look ahead to 2025!
Bakery Showcase
Our 2024 trade show season kicked off in May with the Bakery Showcase! This show spanned two days at the Toronto Congress Centre, where we spoke with and met all kinds of bakeries and cafes. We also got the opportunity to sample some delicious baked treats, coffees and tea!
SIAL Canada
We look forward to attending SIAL Canada every year! The show rotates between Montreal and Toronto every year, and this year’s show was held in Montreal! Our colleagues from our Montreal office came to lend a hand with the booth (and with any French-speaking clients!).
We spent three days meeting with all kinds of food-related businesses from restaurants to food innovators. There were even some familiar faces, as we bumped into some of our existing clients! During this show, part of our team went on a separate mission to attend the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago for the first time!
National Restaurant Association Show
At 2023’s SIAL Canada in Toronto, a client tipped us off about the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago, and we knew we had to attend! This was our first trade show outside of Canada, and it did not disappoint! Since this show overlapped with SIAL, we sent a smaller team comprised of our Business Development Consultant Phil and our Managing Director Andy to man the booth (literally!). There, the two of them met with top restaurant groups and innovators in the restaurant businesses to offer our custom packaging solutions to a wider audience.
Halloween
For the spooky season, we held our annual costume contest! This is one of the LeKAC Pack’s favourite traditions. Our entire team gets into the spirit, dressing in costume for the season. Halloween gives our team a chance to flex their creative muscles and have a little extra fun!
Secret Santa
Another one of our office traditions is our Secret Santa gift exchange. Every year, the names get drawn and our team has the pleasure of getting gifts for each other! A couple of our team members couldn’t be present, but we have their gifts under the tree for them to open upon their return.
Another Season Of The Zine
This year marked the fourth year of our seasonal zine. The zine is a project published by our Marketing team, and gets published four times a year. Each edition contains a wrap up of our blog posts from the season as well as any important packaging news or updates. If you’ve read an edition of our zine in the past, thank you for your support! New Additions
In 2024, we also added two new additions to our team; Zoe in Graphic Design and David in Business Development! We’re so happy to welcome them to the LeKAC Pack. Zoe will work with our Lead Graphic Designer to help creating graphics for socials and adjusting client designs. David joins our Business Development team to help bring you more custom packaging solutions!
A Final Note From the LeKAC Pack
