As we prepare to enter the new year, it’s time for our annual year in review! Last year, we introduced you to our marketing services and took you through our trade show circuit. We also gave you a look at the plastic ban, which is now in full effect in Canada!

SIAL Canada
Though we only made it out to one trade show this year, we made sure to make it a memorable one! Our team made our way to the Enercare Centre in downtown Toronto over the course of three days. This trade show focuses on all kinds of food businesses, from restaurants, canned goods, frozen foods and even alcohol!
We had a fantastic time engaging with other business owners and bumping into some familiar faces. We even met a celebrity chef! SIAL Canada is held in both Toronto and Montreal, alternating between the cities every year. Since our offices are located in/near both of these cities, this trade show always feels a little like a homecoming for our team. We’re excited to see what new innovations will be available at next year’s show!
Team Cottage Retreat
Back by popular demand, our team cottage retreat was the perfect weekend for us to show our appreciation for our team. We headed up to Washago, ON to decompress and connect further as a team. We spent time enjoying the water, cooking and even managed to catch a meteor shower! This year’s festivities also included an epic, all-out water gun fight that had us all engaged.
Overall, the weekend was full of rest and relaxation, leaving us more refreshed and ready than ever to help you make your custom packaging and branding dreams come to life!
Halloween
For this year’s year in review, we wanted to show you a little insight into LeKAC team life.
This year, as the spooky season approached, we got into the spirit once again. Every year, we host an in-office costume contest to get everyone in the spooky spirit.
The haunting holiday doesn’t stop us from meeting with clients though! On more than one occasion, we’ve had clients come in to our showroom for a meeting only to be greeted by an office full of costumed LeKAC employees.
Secret Santa
Another festive event for our team is our annual Secret Santa gift exchange! Every year, we draw names and come together to open our gifts from one another (and guess who got us!). A couple of our team members couldn’t be present in person this year, but that didn’t stop them from joining in on the festive fun!
Another Year Of Our Seasonal Zine
This year also checked off another successful year of our seasonal zine! If you haven’t heard of it, let us introduce you now. Our seasonal zine is our digital publication that comes out every season with a round up of our blog posts, information about products, packaging terminology and more!
The zine is a passion project for our Marketing team, so to every new subscriber and reader, we thank you! We’re looking forward to creating more editions with you. Need to catch up on your reading? Check out all editions of the seasonal zine here.
New Additions To The LeKAC Pack
For our final milestone, we want to take a moment to welcome new additions and re-additions to the LeKAC pack. Our colleague Mia returned to our Toronto team briefly before returning to Beijing. She currently acts as our Production Controller, liaising with our manufacturing partners overseas.
In this year’s year in review, we want to also welcome the newest additions to our LeKAC Pack! Two of our team members also welcomed or are expecting babies this year, expanding our LeKAC pack by two little bundles of joy!
What’s Next For LeKAC?
We’ve already started packing our agenda for 2024, but you’ll have to wait to see what we get up to! To all of our existing clients, we want to take this moment to thank you for your ongoing support. To our entire audience, we hope you had a safe, happy and healthy 2023!
